I’m Concerned About My Daughter’s Weight

One thing that has concerned me since the divorce is the slow increase in my daughter’s weight. Her mother is morbidly obese and, as a result, doesn’t encourage overly physical activities since she cannot participate. She also has questionable eating habits. The result is that my once skinny daughter is carrying a belly. I try to get both kids out as much as possible to keep them active but with my limited custody, I’m losing the battle.

I spent some time online reading up on how I could possibly correct this situation and came across an article written by Russell Solomon. Solomon is a well known personal trainer who has several celebrity clients. In the article, he specifically suggests several things a concerned parent can do to help keep his daughter on the right track. It makes a point to limit television time, which I think is a great idea. I’m going to start implementing some of these rules and see if it makes a difference.
